Decor

Decor is a preferences application for iPhone. The concept was to have a vast collection of images from which to choose a desktop wallpaper for your iPhone. In thinking about the interface, Decor was a chance to explore how to organize a mass quantity of online images into a portable gallery. For my purposes I decided that each image has hidden tags that other users assign to them when they are uploaded. With the addition of tags the images can then be sorted category, popularity, rating and date added. The interface uses a slideshow-like approach where it drops the user at the beginning of a list and allows them to scroll through images one at a time, or narrow or start a new search using a drop down menu at the top of the screen.

Once the user finds an image they want to download, a tap on the center of the picture shows more detailed information about the image and allows the image to be saved as a favorite, rated, or downloaded to the photo library.
